Company Background • The Coconut Kitchen started with a Catering trailer in Abersoch –

Company Background • The Coconut Kitchen started with a Catering trailer in Abersoch – Wales in 2006 with Head Chef Preechaya’s passion to give people good quality Thai food. • Following the success in the trailer, in 2007 we moved to a 40 seater restaurant in the same town. • Now number 1 on Tripadvisor in the area. We were awarded "Best Oriental restaurant in Wales" at The Food Awards Wales in Cardiff in May 2015 and 2016. • The restaurant is so popular, there was demand for us to open more restaurants but we decide to take our food to a greater audience through retail instead. • In 2013 CK Food and Drinks Ltd was created to deliver The Coconut Kitchen Sauce brand to the market, following 6 months of local shop trials we launched the brand at the IFE show in London in March 2013. • We now have 400+ stockists in the UK, we export to Sweden, Germany and Switzerland.

Preechaya Phetprasert Head Chef and Product Development Director • Preechaya was taught by her

Preechaya Phetprasert Head Chef and Product Development Director • Preechaya was taught by her mother, a cookery teacher, in Pak Chong, and in between her studies also worked in her Mums’ restaurant in Thailand. • She graduated with a Degree in Art and Design from KMITL University in Bangkok. • She then travelled to the UK, mainly because of her love of cooking and desire to learn different cuisines. She spent four years in a top London gastro pub, working her way up to position of Sous Chef. • Her experience has moulded her into a very well rounded chef in both Thai and European food and her creative side and her art training also comes out in her cooking.

Our unique sauce range and what makes them special… • Sweet Chilli and Garlic Sauce – Dipping Sauce, marinade and Stir-fry Sauce. There are lots of sweet chilli sauce out there but this one gives you an other dimension. The addition of fresh coriander gives a mellowness while it still has a good kick of chilli and a hint of sharpness to balance out the sweet. • Pak Chong Hot Chilli Sauce – Seasoning, dipping and Stir-fry Sauce. Not a fiery “hot” sauce but it has a very good kick, the main ingredient is pineapple so there is a slight fruitiness that balances out with sour and spice. Add it to stir-fries or use as a condiment to liven up any meal. • Easy Thai Green Curry Paste – The most famous Thai curry and very popular in our restaurant. Customer just adds one 400 ml tin of coconut milk and vegetables, meat or prawns. Preechaya the head chef has added all the exact balance of seasonings into each pot so you get an for authentic, medium spicy, restaurant quality, Coconut Kitchen green curry. That’s why we call it easy! • Easy Massaman Curry Paste - a famous South Thailand curry and the customer just needs to follow our recipe and add braising steak and a tin of coconut milk to get a replica of this mild curry with hints of cumin and star anise. Again all of head chefs skills of the palate go into each pot to give you a an authentic curry that can get quite addictive. • Pad Prig Pao - Stir-fry sauce made with toasted chilli, garlic, basil and green peppercorns, medium spicy and delivers a real flavour sensation. Giving you the 4 dimensions of Thai food with the balance of chilli, sweet, Sour and saltiness from the fish sauce. • Pad Thai Sauce – Pad Thai is probably Thailand's most famous noodle dish. Our sauce in the bottle is exactly the same as the sauce we use in the restaurant. Made with tamarind, garlic and soy. Follow our recipe and you’ll know why people keep traveling back to the restaurant to taste this dish! • Honey, Garlic and Pepper sauce- marinade or stir-fry sauce. Amazing with roasted pork spare ribs, our most popular starter in our restaurant.
