DO/DOES/DID
DO - is the form we use for 1 st person (you, I, we, my and our) *Including the third person “THEY”
EXAMPLES: • Do you love her? • Do we know each other?
DOES – is the form we use for the 3 rd person singular. (He, She and it)
EXAMPLES • Does it hurt? • Does she like butterflies?
DID -we only use did for past tense.
EXAMPLES • Did you go to him last night? • Did my mother asked you about me?
BE FORMS
AM -is used for the first person singular (I).
EXAMPLES: • Am I good at it? • Am I his tutor?
IS is used for the third person singular (He, She, It)
EXAMPLES: • Is he sick? • Is it good?
ARE is used for other cases (you, they and we)
EXAMPLES: • Are we going to Tanya’s party? • Are they from London?
WAS – is the form we use 1 st rd and 3 person singular (I, She, He and It) in the past form.
EXAMPLES: • Was he sick during the show? • Was it good for them last night?
WERE - is the past tense for you, they and we.
EXAMPLES: • Were you driving home from work? • Were we aware of the meeting last Monday?
HAS/ HAVE /HAD
HAS -Is the form we use in nd singular form of 2 person (he, she, it)
EXAMPLES: • Has she left the office? • Has John borrowed my book?
HAVE -Is the form we use in st 1 person I, you, we, they.
EXAMPLES: • Have you seen Michael? • Have I told you that Mrs. Cruz is coming?
HAD Is the form we use if in past perfect cases.
EXAMPLES: • Had he said he bought the tickets for us? • Had Johnny told you that he brought home Alex to the gym?
