What is ATAAPS? » The Automated Time Attendance and Production System (ATAAPS) provides an automated, single source input for reporting and collecting time and attendance (T&A) and labor data for passing that information to interfacing payroll and accounting systems. 10/31/2020 Integrity - Service - Innovation 2
ATAAPS Highlights » Default Labor Ö ATAAPS is an exception-based system. This means that time and attendance may be generated for each employee based upon defaults that are set for each employee, saving time in labor input as well as in correcting errors. » Certification Ö Allows an organization to have supervisors sign-off on their employee’s time and attendance. » Labor Validation Ö At the point of entry, labor is validated in accordance with the Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS) rules based on the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) guidelines. Ö Work Centers are also validated at the point of entry based upon the ATAAPS configuration. 10/31/2020 Integrity - Service - Innovation 3
ATAAPS Schedules » Time and attendance must be entered electronically by the second Thursday at 1200 (noon) for certification. However, you can enter time at any point during the pay period. » Certification will be electronically entered beginning the second Thursday of the pay period and completed by the close of business that day. » All users will be locked out of ATAAPS during Monday following the pay period. At that time data will be extracted from the ATAAPS database at the end of the pay period and electronically uploaded into DCPS. » Default labor will be ran to populate time on the first Monday of the pay period. 10/31/2020 Integrity - Service - Innovation 4
