Problems / Issues 1. The default harvesting protocol (OAI-DC) led to record “clutter” 2. Loss of customized field names that had been set up in Be. Press 3. Multiple instances of fields (“description” , “contributor”, “date”) got dumped into a single instance of that field in Encore. 4. Back sides of postcards appeared as separate records in catalog

Partial Resolution 1. Be. Press able to remove certain records from a collection 2. Innovative experimented with harvesting our Be. Press content using “simple-dublin-core” - more flexibility a. Limit which fields display b. Customize field names 3. Team decided to focus instead on two different collections: Japanese Bookplate Collection and Leadership Studies Capstones

Problems / Issues - The Showstopper ● Current versions of Encore do not support harvesting from https sites. ● Support for https expected in Encore 4. 8, due out at the end of 2018
