aura Engaged Excellence in Research and Teaching Practices Design for Technology Enhanced Learning Teaching Course 3, Session 4, Day One
Learning Outcomes By the end of this session, you will: • Identify the main elements of an iterative learning design • Map the pedagogical principles underpinning your course to the learning outcomes, activities, assessment strategies and technology tools chosen • Apply the principles of learning design to the design of a technology enhanced session chosen by your group • Provide peer assessment and feedback on others’ learning design

Tools to develop a participatory design 1. Course Features View 2. Course Map 3. Pedagogy/Activity Profile or Storyboard

Class Activity We will try to apply the principles and tools introduced together by enhancing the design of one activity that you can then refer to as example for your coming activity with your group

Group Activity: Design One Session With your group: 1. Apply the principles and tools of learning design 2. Design one session of your course (with more than one activity) 3. Map pedagogical principles with LOs, activities, assessment strategies and tools 4. Present it to the other groups (max. 5 mins)
Group Presentations Each group will present the design of the session they worked on, explaining: 1. The pedagogical principles underpinning the design 2. How the main aspects of the session are connected (course map) 3. The storyboard drafted for the session
