Facts • Born in Ixelles, Belgium in 1874. • First generation modernist • Him and his brother inherited their father’s building company, allowing Perret to experiment with reinforced concrete. • He studied in Paris at the National School of Fine Arts. • In 1902, he made a name for himself designing an apartment building at Rue Franklin.
