Compass Rose • Cardinal Directions – Cardinal Directions are the four basic points on a compass – north, south, east, and west

Compass Rose • Ordinal Directions – Ordinal Directions are the points of directions halfway between each pair of cardinal directions – Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, and Southwest

Compass Rose • Now it’s your turn! Create your own compass rose using mapping pencils and colors in journal!

PROJECT • You will have till September 4 th to make an original Compass Rose. • It can be made with anything you wish. • It must be original and unique. The only criteria is that it must have 4 points for one of the compass rose and the other must have 8 points. • They can look the same or completely different. It is up to you. • It is to be completed on a half poster board.
