ATTENDANCE The bane of every president “Attendance” and how do we improve it
Yawn!!! Not another lecture please
Wheels within wheels • Majority of the Rotarians’ suggestion is to bring good speakers. • The speaker was good but topics are boring • Fact is weekly meetings are a chore that members find unattractive. • Challenge is not to improve weekly meetings but can we introduce a different set of rules to include attendance?
It’s Time for Change • Rotary is a voluntary choice of every Rotarian. • Think of Attendance as part of your service to the Club. Ensure that all members are aware of club activities. • One Fellowship every month to be in place of weekly meetings. • Planning the program for the year will help in the attendance. • Have many projects. Involve members and give them charge of the project. • Technology can be used for attendance.
Other Details about Attendance • Minimum Attendance 60%. • There has to be a minimum of 30% attendance. The balance of 30% attendance can be obtained through make up attendance. • The Attendance of the club has to be reported every month to the District. • It is an important criteria for DG’s Citation
