UNDERSTANDING SED MODULE CREDITS • 60 credit load for one Semester. • It is possible to “overload” if there is some specific reason for this – but you will need written permission from your home institution to be able to do this. • Most modules are 15 credits per Semester (60 credits = 4 X 15 -credit modules). • English modules that are listed as 30 credits are YEAR long modules - spread over 2 Semesters. Some of these it is possible to take as a 1 Semester option in the ‘A’ (SEM 1) or ‘B’ (SEM 2) version – such as ESH 101 Shakespeare. • A SEM 2 “B” version is 15 credits • PLEASE NOTE: some Drama modules are practice-based and worth 30 credits. These modules take place across one Semester but are worth twice the credits of a seminar-based module. They have twice the contact time of a seminar-based module, including a weekly 4 hour workshop and compulsory 3 hour Student-Led Practice session in rehearsal rooms. School of English and Drama

LONDON: WALKING THE CITY • Module Convenor: Elizabeth Robertson, e. robertson@qmul. ac. uk • Timetable glitch means that your timetable *may* show lecture and seminar on different days. This is a formatting error. Your lecture and seminar are ALWAYS on the same day. Seminar/1 means you are in Group 1; Seminar/2 Group 2 etc. Double check the module page on QMPlus to make sure that you have the right times and locations for your correct group. • Some weeks are a 2 hour seminar; some weeks are a lecturewalk and then a seminar. Check the module page for details. • You will need to allow 45 min-1 hour travelling time to get to and back from the Lecture-Walks. Please bear this in mind when checking fortimetable clashes.
