Assignments-25% • All notes are written in your notebook or on lined notebook paper. • I suggest the notebook just to keep organized. • Each class will turn in notes about every 2 months and graded for completeness only.
Assignments-25% • Some class work and homework will be collected separately. • Due dates are posted in the front of the class. Late work is accepted UP TO 5 days late for 60% credit.
Labs and projects-20% • Assigned lab groups based on your current seat. • Everyone writes their own lab report. • There may be a few exceptions to this when 1 report is turned in per group. • Lab report format will be discussed prior to first lab activity of the year.
Quizzes-10% • Usually not announced. • Based on problems solved and practiced in class. • Ask questions during practice. • Make up quizzes before or after school within 3 days of an excused absence. • No quiz make up if unexcused.
Tests-25% • Will be given review. • If absent, make up before or after school within 3 days. • Usually will consist of multiple choice, short answer and problem solving. • Possible review quiz to add points if class average is lower than 65%. • You are allowed to write any notes on the equation sheet that is given. Nothing else.
Final exam-20% • We will review for final exam for at least 3 days. • You will be given equation sheets and allowed to use whatever notes you may fit on this sheet. • Equation sheets are on my school website. You may print a new one every test if desired but may only use one per test.
Required supplies • Pencil or pen (blue or black). • Paper. • Scientific calculator. Very important for tests. • You will NOT be allowed to use cell phones as calculators at any time.
Rules • Be in your seat ready to work when tardy bell rings. • Do not disrupt others learning. This includes no cell phones, music, etc. • No food, gum, or drinks. • Follow all procedures and directions given.
Consequences • Warning. • Up to 1. 5 minutes after class detention. • Phone call or email home and possible counselor referral. • Office referral.
