Discuss how EACH hot spot used the Cold War strategies: Brinkmanship, Espionage, Foreign Aid, Alliances, Propaganda and Surrogate Wars 2. Discuss why each case study would be considered a “hot spot” in the Cold War. 3. Why do you think the US sometimes support undemocratic leaders during the Cold War? 4. Overall, how would you evaluate the impacts of the Cold War on “Third World” countries? What were possible positive and negative impacts of being aligned with either the US or USSR?
