The Task � � � The task is for you to create your dream holiday to a destination of your choice. You must consider, food, currency, transport, language, weather, what you will do and create an itinerary. You will display the information using a power point presentation and present it to your class and family at a movie day.

Lesson 1 � � � Discuss the seven wonders of the world, to get ideas. Read assignment task sheet. Get together with your partner Decide on where your destination will be. Find your destination on a world map. (Google earth is a great way to do this)

Lesson 2 � � � � Todays session is in the library. You must research; What Language they speak Food commonly eaten in that country Currency Famous sites to see Use travel brochures for research material.

Lesson 3 � � � Continue research on same topics as previous lesson Add research on; What the weather is like Common form of transport Use internet for research Use travel brochures

Lesson 4 � � � go Create an itinerary of what you will do. Choose how many days you go for Heading should be Morning –breakfast- where you will go Midday- lunch- where you will Afternoon- where you will go Night – dinner- where you will go This will break up the day so you don’t try to fit too much in.

Lesson 5 � � � Learning to use Power. Point This whole session is to play with power point. Choosing designs Adding colour and pictures Creating slide shows. Effects

Lesson 6 � � Putting it all together Each slide should be a new day with headings Morning, Midday, Afternoon and Night An introduction should be the first slide with information on where you are going, where your country is on a world map, language spoken, common food, currency, sites to see, weather and transport. Each slide will have what food you will eat, how you travel to each place and the sights you will see.

Lesson 7 � � � Finishing touches on Power. Point slides Ensure all information is included Add colour Add effects Make sure you are happy with what you have produced

Movie Day � � � Today you will present your dream holiday Power. Point to your fellow class mates and family. Power point will be plugged into a projector and you will talk through your holiday. Food can be bought in and have an enjoyable day watching everyone's Power. Point/movie
