Assemblage Art Unlimited Possibilities A bit of history
Assemblage Art: Unlimited Possibilities! A bit of history…
What is an assemblage? • 1: a collection of persons or things : gathering • 2: the act of assembling : the state of being assembled • 3 : an artistic composition made from scraps, junk, and odds and ends (as of paper, cloth, wood, stone, or metal)
What medium is an assemblage? • An assemblage needs to combine found objects with personal art. Therefore the assemblage will be a 3 D sculpture of collected items, but the items need to be manipulated artistically.
How did sculpture transition from classical figures to assemblages?

The Lint Beautification Project Helping to save one lint at a time.
Dear Sir or Madam: The Lint Beautification Project is a grassroots organization dedicated to the liberation, preservation, and beautification of lint. Lint is often an overlooked material, discarded in households’ everyday. The discarding of lint speaks to the nature of this consumerist and throwaway society. The LBP promotes the appreciation of lint and other rejected objects. There are many branches of the LBP organization. The first is to respond to the immediate needs of the lint that has been neglected, abused, or deprived of love. The LBP accepts unwanted lint from individuals unable to provide their lint with a proper home, and also initiates rescue missions to laundry mats, a common place where lint is disposed of. Also, the LBP envisions a better future for each and every lint. We recognize that each lint is unique, so we strive to create and maintain a supportive environment, so that each lint can discover and achieve its personal goals. We also provide the community with information and education, believing that education is one of the most effective ways to teach respect, compassion and a sense of responsibility towards lint. None of our important Lint Beautification Project could be possible without the help of concerned and caring people like you. Sincerely Teresa Marcy Founder of the Lint Beautification Project
