APT - APG q APT Conference Preparatory Group for WRC (APG) q APG was started in 1996 with the objective of harmonizing views and developing common proposals from the Asia-Pacific region for the World Radio Conference (WRC). The APG process has been very successful in presenting regional harmonized view to the WRCs. APG is one of the highest attended APT event. It has substantially helped establishing the prominence given to APT amongst other regional and international organizations. Address key agenda of WRC Develop proposals for WRC Headed by Chairman and two Vice-Chairmen. Consists of Six Working Parties q Objectives To develop APT Common Proposals for WRCs To develop APT Common Views on the matters related to ITU Radiocommunication Assemblies (RAs), ITU-R Conference Preparatory Meetings (CPMs) and the ITU-R Special Committee for Regulatory and Procedural Matters (SCRPM) To assists APT Member countries, specially developing countries, in their preparations for WRCs, RAs, CPMs and the SC so that the interests of the region are protected 28 -31 March 2016 Training Course on Preparing for International Conferences 8

APT AWG q APT Wireless Group(AWG) q The APT Wireless Group (AWG), formerly knows as APT Wireless Forum (AWF) covers various aspects of emerging wireless systems including IMT/IMT-Advanced to meet the upcoming digital convergence era in the Asia-Pacific region. q It is assisting the process of providing cost effective radiocommunications solutions and facilitating the transfer of technology. APT - WTSA The APT Preparatory Group for WTSA (APT-WTSA) The APT-WTSA was created

APT - WTSA The APT Preparatory Group for WTSA (APT-WTSA) The APT-WTSA was created to assist the APT Members to prepare for the ITU World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) in coordinating issues of regional interest and preparing coordinated regional contributions to the Assembly. APT-WTSA works closely with ASTAP on standardization issues. WTSA-16 consists of a Chairman, two Vice-Chairmen and three Working Groups (WGs): Working Group 1 (WG 1): ITU-T Working Methods Working Group 2 (WG 2): ITU-T Work Organization Working Group 3 (WG 3): Standardization Related Issues Objectives To assist APT Members to prepare for the WTSA in coordinating issues of regional interest and the submission of regional contributions to the Assembly To develop proposals from APT Member countries for input to the WTSA that considers the interests of the Asia-Pacific region To assist APT Members during the WTSA. 28 -31 March 2016 Training Course on Preparing for International Conferences 10
