Cool Stuff Ashton is situated on the Southbank. Which is where the annual arts trail is. The Arts Trail is where people invite others into their homes to view the artwork they have created.
The Tobacco Factory Most of Aston was made for the miners and the workers of the Tobacco Factory. It is now cafe/bar and a theatre space, with a market on Sundays.
Southville Primary This is my Primary school. It is a school of a mere 180 students, 24 helping staff and 14 teachers. It recently had is 100 th birthday (in 2009).
North Street is my local shopping street. It has a bunch of very interesting shops and a tonne of hairdressers (5). It recently went through the annual. . .
UPFEST festival This is a yearly festival of graffiti. Artists come and spray on shop walls and shutters. It is really interesting and gets you out of the house for a day.
Gorillas As the anniversary (100 th) of Bristol zoo, they dotted Gorillas all over Bristol. They put 3 in Ashton!
My Favourite Places in Ashton!! Glass Designs Greville Smyth Park Glass designs is a glasswork shop that has a lot of intricate items. This is my local park. It is owned by the Smyth family who also own Ashton court. Paper Village Paper village is a craft shop that sells bead, craft stuff and paper moustaches ( a big trend here)!
