Key initiatives in arts, culture and entertainment Law on cultural heritage • A law on preservation of the cultural heritage of the emirate of Abu Dhabi was passed by H. H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE, on October 12, 2016. • The law aims at protecting, identifying, preserving, managing and promoting Abu Dhabi’s cultural heritage. • The Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority is to establish two records – one for tangible cultural heritage and one for intangible cultural heritage.
