Landforms Some of the landforms in the desert include hoodoos, mesas, and alluvial fans. A hoodoo is a large column created by erosion. A mesa is like a giant table towering over the desert. An alluvial fan is a large pile of sediment.

Map of country This is the map of Aronia. If you live in Cynamma, you were in the highest civilian class. If you lived in Gornatha, you were in the second highest class. If you lived in Taranis, you in the second lowest class. If you lived in Kuna, you were the lowest class.

Location For my project, I chose the desert biome. My country will be at approximately the 34°N and 114°W latitude and longitude lines in the Mojave desert in Arizona.

Climate The desert biome has very extreme temperatures. In the day time, the temperature can easily go up to 100° Fahrenheit in the daytime. But at night, the temperature drops to below freezing. That’s a difference of 68° Fahrenheit in one day! That’s because there is little atmosphere in the air to block severe changes in temperature.

Housing The housing in Aronia is underground to avoid the extreme temperatures above ground. The houses are more like rooms because there are large public spaces where work can be done. These houses were grouped in blocks of 10. The rulers live in huge palaces inside the mesas. If you were a rich person, you might live in a hoodoo.

Plants and Animals • The desert does not have a wide variety of vegetation due to the extreme conditions. However there are still some short grasses, bushes, and cacti. There also not to many animals, too. Some of them are coyotes, bobcats, and various birds, such as the cactus wren.

Government Aronia will be governed by the following system. There will be an election every 6 months. During this election, candidates must first take a somewhat difficult test to be able to run. Then he or she will need to be elected by the people. He or she will then rule in a mesa palace for 30 months. You can run as many times in a row as you want.

Menu • For breakfast, you would eat a meal made out of corn, such as a corn muffin or corn flakes. To drink you would have coconut milk. • For lunch, you would eat cactus or coconut or meat of any of the animals listed earlier. To drink you would have beer or water depending on your age. • For dinner, you would basically eat the food for lunch, only you would eat more.

Life style The women would stay underground and prepare the food or make a variety of items from baskets to spears. They would also take care of the children. The men would go above ground and fetch water from an oasis or hunt for food.

Transportation If you aren’t rich, you would walk every where you went. But if you were rich you would sit on a big platform and the citizens would hold the platform and carry you to your desired location.

Language The language of Aronia will be called “Aronian” and the alphabet will look like this. (letters are listed A-Z)

Clothing The clothing that will be worn underground will be a long sleeve shirt and long pants. The clothing worn above ground will be short sleeve shirts and short pants.
