Rowing is a total body workout. Rowing is the pinnacle team sport. Rowers are among the best athletes at the world.

Rowers • will give a 100 percent at practice; • should not be absent

Rowers • will give a 100 percent at practice; • should not be absent from practices – absences will effect individual and team performance; • will have positive and competitive attitudes - your attitude impacts your boat. Parents • crew is a FAMILY; • we are here for you and all the questions you may have. The best way to get your feet wet is to jump in and volunteer as soon as possible; • we require ten hours (10) of services but more are welcomed. Coaches • will continue to go to training to provide the athletes with the most up-to-date techniques to be competitive; • will provide workouts on land water to increase athlete performance.

Annual Budget • Estimated $80 k • This includes: • Boathouse Lease – $17 k • Insurance - $10 k • Race Entry Fees - $20 k • Coach Salaries - $17 k Equipment Maintenance/Depreciation • The last 8+ shell was purchased 5 years ago (2013) for $31, 000. • The last 4+ shell was purchased 4 years ago (2014) for $23, 000. ACSD Funds the following • Spring boat and student transportation for races. • Spring student transportation for practices (to the boathouse only). • Spring coach salaries for 4 coaches. • Spring use of facilities for practices, ERG races, and meetings. • Ability to advertise for programs on school properties in the Fall and Spring.

It takes a village! We need volunteers who are willing to assist Eric with the food tent. The food tent provides nutritious food for our rowers and their families. There are many facets to the food tent: • Sign-up Genius • Deciding on Food Menu for the venue • Shopping for the food • Making the food • Loading the food on the trailer • Set-up at the event (early a. m. ) • Take down at the event (after last race) If you are willing to assist with the food tent, then please sign up. It takes a village! We need volunteers who are willing to assist Kelly with hotels, and baggage check. Volunteers would assist with the following: • Baggage check – to ensure that children are not bringing any non-sanctioned items with them, e. g. non-prescription drugs, alcohol, etc. • Ensure all prescriptions and over-the-counter medications are authorized by the parents and have the rowers’ names on them. • Baggage check is typically 6: 45 a-8 a • Chaperone Duty – to ensure that the children are safe and where they should be. • There are four two (2) hour shifts, 9 p-11 p, 11 p-1 a, 1 a-3 a, and the wake-up shift. Opportunities • 50/50 Raffle – each household is expected to take one envelope and sell it. Each raffle is $10, and each envelope has 10. They will be handed out to the children at the waterfront. • Gertrude Hawk Chocolates – this is an individual fundraiser. The money earned can go towards costs associated with crew, e. g. registration, hotel, banquet, etc. • Foam & Wash Car Wash – this is an individual fundraiser. The money earned can go towards costs associated with crew, e. g. registration, hotel, banquet, etc. • Discount Cards (Wappingers/Poughkeepsie) • Outback Steakhouse – this is a team fundraiser. The funds go towards the organization. • Scavenger Hunt - details are in the works. Further information TBA. • Various Donation Locations – this is a team fundraiser. We will seek donations at various locations, e. g. Stewarts, Marshall’s Mall, Poughkeepsie Galleria, etc. Further information TBA.
