Have you ever had an argument with someone who disagreed with every single one

Have you ever had an argument with someone who disagreed with every single one of your points? Frustrating, right? Argument is a collaborative activity with two or more people, so to make an argument fair and productive one must openly acknowledge the audience’s good points and even some of your own weak points. So too is anticipating and answering possible objections to demonstrate you have thought out various perspectives on the issue.

Anticipating Objections & Making Concessions • When you anticipate objections to your argument or proposal, you are making an effort to see the others' viewpoints. • When you make a concession, you give in to part of the other person's objections or views. You admit that they are half right, or that they have a valid concern. Then you overcome that concern by logic and/or a solution.
