Country investment plan (CIP) § Responding to L’Aquila Initiative and in line with the 5 Rome Principles, the CIP was first Approved on 14 June 2010. § Coherent set of 12 strategic priority investment programmes § Aligned with the National Food Policy Plan of Action, to ensure comprehensiveness § Embedded in the Sixth Five Year Plan to ensure consistency § Focus on government investments included in the Annual Development Budget The CIP, based on extensive consultation, incorporates over 400 projects of which 154 ongoing (for US$ 2. 8 billion) and 257 in pipeline (for US$ 5. 06 billion of which US$ 3. 4 billion are priority).
