Key Area Governor Duties Organizational Leadership n Promote the implementation and use of RAMP programs in Branches. n n n (R)ecruit new members Develop (A)ctivities Improve (M)ember Relations Create (P)ublicity Promote innovative and new ways to motivate members to bring guests

Key Area Governor Duties Organizational Leadership n n n Assist in identifying potential Branch leaders who are committed to the Long. Term Health and Vitality of Branches Promote Leadership Succession Planning beyond annual Nominating Committee activities Encourage branches to train back-ups for Key Roles and Activity Chairmen

Key Area Governor Administrative Duties n n n Help Branches understand follow the By. Laws and Standing Rules (See SIR Manual) Help Branches complete necessary reporting paperwork(Use Branch Tracking Worksheet) Review Forms 27 and 28, BEC Minutes and monthly Branch Bulletins Provide Counseling to Branches Ensure Annual Branch Audits are performed Appoint Area Activities Chairman as required

Key Area Governor Administrative Duties n Follow SIR Schedule of State Operations n n n Submit Qtr Area Status Rpts to Regional Director Hold Area Big SIRs Meetings after Region Mtg Conduct election for next year’s Area Gov. from candidates submitted by each Branch Direct Br. Officer Training for next year Direct RAMP Leaders Training for next year Attend State Annual Meeting

Suggested Goals for 2017 - 1 n Improve Branch Recognition of Volunteers n Encourage Branches to find ways to recognize contributions of all Officers, Activities Chairman and other volunteers (examples might include Colored Badges, pins, nameplates, ribbons, etc)

Suggested Goals for 2017 - 2 n Improve Communication and Information Sharing (e. g. Best Practices) between Branches n n Encourage each Branch to invite Officers from other Branches to attend their Luncheon (and even their BEC meeting) Encourage Activities Chairman to meet with other Branches Corresponding Chairman to exchange ideas (e. g. Recent meeting of Branch Newsletter Editors) Encourage Branches to create or expand the role of a Branch Activities Chairman to coordinate all Branch Activities Encourage Branches to document the duties and functions of all Activities and their Chairman to ensure continuity and clarity

Suggested Goals for 2017 - 3 n Improve Communication and Info Sharing (e. g. Best Practices) between State, Region and Area Officers with the Branches n n Identify and communicate to Branches the support opportunities and resources offered by State, Region and Area Officials (e. g.
