Recognize and produce rhyming words. ü Learning Objectives: • After the completion of this lesson, children will be able to recognize and produce rhyming words.

What is a rhyme? • A rhyme is a word that has the same sound at the end of the word. Example: Bee Tree

What about words that do NOT rhyme? • Do these words sound the same at the end? Ring Bee • Do these words rhyme? Say them out loud and listen to the sounds

Let’s review what we learned! ü Rhyming words have the same ending sound. ü These are words like dog & frog, cat & bat, or bee & tree. ü If words do NOT have the same ending sound, they do NOT rhyme.
