ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE (ARC) Diane Lopez & Kevin Krebs, Co-Chairs Committee Members: Eric Baum Nancy Kedersha
ARC Mission Statement The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is established by the Declaration of Covenants. The ARC’s mission is first and foremost ensuring that all new construction meets the standards set forth in Section 3 of the Declaration. Now that the vast majority of the Forest community has been built out, the work of the ARC is in transition to become one where projects like additions, on-site sheds, and other features come under review. Our role is to follow the FHOA governing documents and to bring a fair, impartial and coherent approach to our review and decision-making. The ARC should not substitute its opinion regarding aesthetics in performing its role, but rather look to how homeowners live, and make reasonable judgments based upon clearly observed practices. The approach taken by the ARC must be agile (able to adapt to changing technologies and personal preferences), equitable (not directed toward any one individual or group), and appropriate to the overall objective to maintain an attractive community (the Forest “look and appearance”).
