APUNTES: PRETERITE TENSE OF IR, SER, DAR, & HACER OBJ: TLW- Use the Preterite

APUNTES: PRETERITE TENSE OF IR, SER, DAR, & HACER OBJ: TLW- Use the Preterite tense of the verbs Ir(to go) and Ser (to be) in order to tell where someone “went” and “was”. TLW also use the Preterite tense of Dar (to give) and Hacer (to do/to make) to tell what someone “gave” and “did/made. ” 1. There are 2 verbs in Spanish that are IDENTICAL in the Preterite (past) tense; Ir and Ser. 2. In the Present tense, Ir means “to go. ” In the Preterite tense, Ir means “went. ” 3. In the Present tense, Ser means “to be. ” In the Preterite tense, Ser means “was. ” 4. In the Present tense, Dar means “to give. ” In the Preterite tense, Dar means “gave. ” 5. In the Present tense, Hacer means “to do/to make. ” In the Preterite tense, Hacer means “did/made. ” An L. Ford production © 2017

We did a crossword today. -(hacer) Nosotros hicimos un crucigrama hoy. 3. She made a yellow dress last spring. -(hacer) Ella hizo un vestido amarillo la primavera pasada. 4.
