APRIL 1 ST, 2021 CLASSROOM NEWS Happy Thursday everyone, I hope that you have all had a wonderful week. We have finally made it to spring break (yipee)! I hope that you have a relaxing and refreshing spring break planned for you and your families, and are able to spend some quality time with the ones that you love. We have some very exciting things planned for our students for when they return from break. Our class agenda includes a poetry slam and creating a “Living Museum”. I know that both of these activities promise to be a fun and exciting learning experience! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I will see you all on April 12 th!! - Mrs. Dunning (ashleydunning@gorevilleschools. com) UPCOMING DATES April 2 nd (Friday)-11 th (Sunday) - Spring break (no school) April 14 th - Fishing field trip CLASSROOM NOTES I wanted to share that we will be having a math test in a few weeks (it will sneak up on us quickly). Students should be familiar with adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers with unlike denominators. STUDENT SHOWCASE Every morning our students write in a digital journal and respond to a prompt. Below were some of this weeks responses! The prompt was “What's your opinion? Do you think it's more beneficial to be talented or a hard worker? ” “I think you should work hard because your achieving goals. I’m better working hard because it helps me accomplish something. You should work hard so you can accomplish your goal. So come on and work hard like me. ” Bently Vlasak “If you’re a hard worker, you become more talented over time slowly. Working hard makes you even more talented than some of the best people from that area. Working over time is way better than just going in trying to be perfect without even knowing what to do. Instead, you should work up to perfection instead of trying to be perfect at an area where you couldn’t even know what you’re doing. Hard workers get further in life than the people wanting to be perfect at everything. Because, well. N o b o d y. I s. P e r f e c t” - Brayden Harriosn
