What is the TSI? Do I need to take it? The TSI is a test that tells the universities that you are COLLEGE READY. If you do not pass the TSI, you will have to take remedial or developmental courses. These courses do not give you university credit. The TSI has 3 sections : Reading, Math, and Writing. Passing scores are the following: Reading 351 Math 350 Writing 363 + 4 (essay) OR 5 TSI Exemptions: 23 on the ACT with a 19 in each section 1070 with a 500 in the reading and math section 4000 in the English III EOC and Algebra II EOC SHOULD BE TAKEN 10 TH GRADE
