Applying phonics Tricky words Flashcards and super sentences!
Monday
We will now be focusing on applying all the phonics sounds we have learnt! • From now on we will be learning how to: - apply all the sounds learnt - practise our handwriting. • Practise our tricky words • Develop sentences using (and, because, so, but) • Practise using ? and ! • Practise super sentence knowledge. You can still play phonics play games and all espresso games to recap the sounds we have learnt.
**MESSAGE FOR PARENTS You might find areas in the learning this week that your child needs to practise more. Focus on these first rather than trying to complete everything. You can always revisit other concepts.
Try to practise the tricky words this week using rainbow spelling! Write the word in 1 colour and then go over this word in lots of different colours. Say the letters and the whole word once you have written over it. The word will then become multi-coloured and it should help you remember how to spell it!
