Application n 1 Is a form or collection of forms that an individual seeking employment must fill out as part of the job seeking process.
What’s so important? n n Many people lose jobs before they get them. They don’t get the job because of what they write or don’t write on the job application.
What’s so important? n An application gives potential employers important information about you which will help them make a hiring decision.
Applications n n There is no standard employment application form for all companies. Companies make their own form so interviewers can quickly locate items.
Applications n The employment applications represents the quality of work you will perform for a company.
Application forms will tell the employers the following: 2 2 n n How well you follow instructions What you have achieved in school and work How thorough and neat you are How will you have held a job in the past.

References? n n 4 References are people who will recommend you to an employer You must ask permission to use people as references. n n Responsible people 18 years or older Have a job Homemakers or retirees would not be the best references
