Location in Canada • The Appalachian region is the Maritimes, Newfoundland Labrador, and the most southern part of Quebec.

Vegetation • The pitcher plant is native to the Maritimes and it eats insects. The insects get trapped in the leaves and drown because the leaves collect water!

Vegetation • The sundew plant eats insects as well by getting them stuck to the sticky leaves and the bugs die.

Trees • • The Appalachian region is home to many kinds of trees including the Eastern white cedar, pine trees, spruce trees, willow, oak, ash, and poplar.
