Status • Worked 17 N / 17 Q relationship – Agreed to Combine the Two – “Existing Q” is now integrated – Agreed a “New Q” was required – And it will be incorporated into a separate document • API 17 N – Introduce TQ Process • TR (Technical Report) – Qualification – 1 st step towards next revision of 17 N

Why • API 17 N was due for revision • We need to finish the incorporation of IM • Obvious that “Q” will grow and should eventually be incorporated into 17 N • TR would allow a more reactive process by requiring less “Bureaucracy” • Need seen to be able to update the two subjects at different paces

Plan • API 17 N to API by NOW! • TOC of TR at 1 st Draft • Reform Working Sub. Committee for TR – 17 N / 17 Q / Other Interested Parties – Finalize TOC – Write Document • TOC finished by TBD • Additional Requirements TBD – Funds – Resources

Issues • Greater guidance on qualification testing • Incorporate input from others – TR 8 – HPHT – API 17 X – Machinery – API 17 A – Being Changed, Added to, etc – All other APIs…………. • Software is a recognized GAP
