Role of the EEB 3 Parents’ Association Mission: Representing the parents from 7 sections (CZ, DE, EL, EN, ES, FR, NL) in all areas affecting the school life of our children § § § Services management (transport, canteen, extra-curricular activities) Educational affairs within our school Participation in the wider context of all European Schools (following the activities of the Secretariat-General of European Schools, Board of Governors, Inter-Parents Association) Coordinate parents’ involvement in school life Provide information and communicate with parents on a variety of actions

ALL PARENTS OF THE SCHOOL Election of 4 class representatives (including 1 “info rep” and one Treasurer for P and N classes) General Meeting (GM) Open to all members having paid the annual family subscription fee Only class representatives have the rights to vote and to be elected in the Management Board (25 members) (elected by the sections, MAT class representatives and by all class reps in the GM) 7 section representatives for primary (1 per section) 7 sections’ representatives for secondary (1 per section) 1 MAT representative (elected by all MAT class representatives) Remaining 10 members to be elected at the GM (5 renewed on a yearly basis)
Parents’ representation in school life School bodies Primary and secondary Educational Councils (1 person elected by each section on a yearly basis) – meeting 4 times per year with school management and teacher representatives (for school-internal educational issues) § APEEE representation in the School’s Administrative Board (decision-making body - budget approval) and in its Advisory Council (annual and multi-annual planning, common issues across education levels) § Health and Safety Committee (for infrastructure, well-being at school, hygiene and security matters) § School events § § § Primary Book Day (November 2018) / Secondary Book Sales (second hand) Conferences open to parents Springfest
EUROPEAN SCHOOLS SYSTEM § Curriculum of nursery / primary / secondary studies (Board of Governors / Joint Teaching Committee) § General Enrolment policy (at the level of the Central Enrolment Authority of Brussels European Schools) § Establishment and framework for the functioning of schools (Board of Governors) § BAC organisation / recognition (Board of Governors, school management) APEEE (VP on pedagogy, Koen NOMDEN) / INTERPARENTS (IP rep. Georges SPYROU) and other WG members share views on many other issues … falling with several and different competent authorities
ANNUAL REGISTRATION FOR THE APEEE § Le paiement préalable de la cotisation annuelle pour l’APEEE (45€ par famille) est nécessaire pour s’enregistrer aux services de l’APEEE. The prior payment of the annual family subscription fee (45€ fee) is required prior to enrolment to APEEE services
