APAN Honolulu 2004 Earth Observation WG • Roles – Development of distributed archive and access to EO data – Development of interactive mapping / analysis systems • Current Activities – Satellite data transfers from US to MAFFIN, JAXA & NUSCRISP – Satellite data exchange between AIT-Thailand MAFFIN • Plans – MAFFIN and NECTEC archive and service of NOAA’s NPP and NPOESS data, and NASA’s GEO-Cover global Landsat database – Precipitation monitoring in the AP region using microwave imagery – Satellite data distributed archive and access based on Grid • Earth Observation Summit – EOWG Is ready to represent APAN for EOS 4 12/15/2021
