FOREWORD Another amazing year is behind us. It was a first full year for Polish Professional Women and a lot has happened. We brought together more than 100 paid members, almost 400 followers on Linked. In and more than 1. 000 on Facebook. We organized 8 trainings and 4 networking gatherings. Our speakers were specialists from various fields and coming to us from different countries. We learned about time management, public speaking, about ourselves, we wrote our own story, climbed the Kilimanjaro and searched for the new job. We met many new people, connected with Czech and Slovak women from Minerva 21 and also with members of another Polish women organization in the Netherlands - Top. We sang Christmas carols in the center of Amsterdam, we laughed, talked and learned from each other. We launched thematic breakfast meetings where our members could socialise and exchange views on specific subjects. It was a very successful year for the Social Responsibility team. We established mutually beneficial relationships with Amsterdam women organizations. We believe that our plans and actions will bring even more impact in the upcoming years. We know that it would not be possible for our organization to achieve all of it if it wasn't for a hard work of a group of many women. At the end of 2016, 27 of our members decided to devote their time, knowledge and energy to Polish Professional Women and become PPW’s volunteers. We look forward to the next exciting year. We have a lot of ideas and we are eager to bring them to life. We listen to our members, we keep our eyes open for what is happening in our surrounding. In 2017 our main focus will be on further development of skills of our members and facilitating them with tools which are helpful in achieving success on the labor market. Furthermore, through volunteering projects we would like to increase the impact and visibility of Polish professionals within the Dutch society. Thank you for being with us and growing our network. Together we are stronger. Hope to see you on our events. Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands On behalf of the Board of Directors Monika Boomgaard, President

OUR MISION & VISION Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands is a platform uniting

OUR MISION & VISION Polish Professional Women in the Netherlands is a platform uniting Polish female professionals and entrepreneurs living and working in the Netherlands. Our goal is to gather together a group of active internationally minded Polish women, so that our network of contacts is rich and diverse. We aim to empower the advancement of women in business. We want to be a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experience, and thus support the personal and professional development of our members. Our target is to empower women with tools and insight and help encourage them to springboard ahead and realize their goals. Change of place, and even the country of residence does not necessarily mean the lack of opportunities for personal and professional development. On the contrary, it is an opportunity to gain new experiences and skills. Supporting those ambitions we provide our members with tailor made training and workshops, as well as networking events. HOW DO WE WORK? PPW believes that the success of any organization or project

HOW DO WE WORK? PPW believes that the success of any organization or project depends on the contributions of its members. Combined talents of many individuals contribute more than the sum of its parts Participants work harder for any project if they feel a sense of ownership in its success or failure. Therefore to be more effective, we empower every member to actively participate in the structures of PPW. In 2016 PPW were managed by The Board consisted of 5 members (President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and Board Member responsible for the Membership) who was responsible for providing the ‘tone at the top’. The broad ideas were cascaded down to the established Commissions, responsible in detail for supporting PPW’s operations and implementing initial objectives. The Commissions were: Operations, Membership, Social Corporate Responsibility, Media, Translations, Portraits Project, Global Mentoring Walk, Business Breakfasts. Separate unit consisted of a photographer who documented every organized event and an independent Audit unit. PPW’s activities were organized on a event-by-event basis, leaving an opening for developing an internal working framework and best practices which formed a basis for a fluent way of working in the following years. All Board and Commissions’ members are performing their work on a voluntary basis and need to pay a regular membership fee.
