Annotations Highlighting Close reading emojis Glose Education is on a mission to make reading better and more engaging with tools for: Dictionary Translation Class & Individual Student Data
Students can customize their reading experience by adjusting the background theme, font, and text size to work best for them. Notice the Dyslexia font can be set for any students who would benefit from this support.
Students can highlight specific passages or sentences as they are reading in the text all with a simple click.
Students can also add a range of emojis to express their feelings or reactions to the text.
You and your students can add notes in the margin of the text to ask questions or offer analysis.
Glose Education encourages your students to collaborate and learn from each other using our Comment feature. And you as the teacher can then view a record of all the students’ Notes and Comments about a book under the Activity page.
To support Close Reading activities we developed the Quote Page to help focus your students in on select passages and encourage deeper class discussions and textual analysis.
We built a Dictionary feature right into the platform to look up words while reading. This feature also allows students to bookmark any of these words--so you as a teacher know which ones they need help with and for study later as a whole class.
There is even a Translation tool for students--simply right click and select from dozens of available languages.
And check out our Statistics page to better understand the reading habits and engagement trends for both your class and for individual students.
With Glose Education you will have access to over 1700 classic and canonical title included as part of your subscription!
