Masculinity versus femininity In this scene Anna meet the prime minister he ask her "sir is mare? ” Anna ask him why he call her ‘sir’ He told her that women in Siam(high masculinity culture) don’t stand up in the present of prime minster. On the other said Anna was not familiar with this position she is from UK (low masculinity culture) and woman their in leadership power and admired.
Power distance In this scene the prime minister take Anna to audience her to the king and she notice people in Siam kneel before the king but the king audiences end before Anna talk to him. The prime minister suggest to Anna to see the king the next day. However, Anna didn’t listen to him and ignore the roles of Siam (low PD culture) Anna believe in equals. The other side, the guards and Siamese society think she may be danger or threat because she didn’t follow the roles of Siam (high PD culture).
Masculinity versus femininity This scene shows another masculinity dimension in Siam. When the son of the king and Anna son fight louis (Anna son) apologized to his mother(low masculinity culture) man and women had the same value however, son of the king interrupted him “in my country man don’t tell women he sorry about any thing” (high masculinity culture) there is gap between man values and women values in Siam.
Power distance In this scene Anna was teaching the servants how to serve drinks however, when the king came they kneeled to him(high PDI they accept the power distributed unequally)and the glasses fall and broke. However, Anna ask the king if the slaves can stand in has presence for one night (low PDI)
