Anime By Kevin Mc. Mahon
Anime is a type of Japanese animation It is not just the Japanese equivalent to a cartoon show. v It is much more violent than most American cartoons. v However, not all anime is violent, some are for comedic purposes. v They also often have adult themes, some that young children don’t understand. v It is typical in the more violent ones to see people, monsters, mechs (a type of robot) or buildings being decapitated, sliced, destroyed, blown up or shot. v
Anime is beginning to gain popularity. v Anime is catching on in the US. v It is viewed by many age groups, including teenagers. v Many of these teenagers quickly become fanatics (like my brother. )
What I think about anime I think that anime is completely pointless, therefore it is fun to watch. v It is gore for no reason. Gore with a good reason for gore isn’t bad, but anime has no comprehendible plot unless you watch it several times which I don’t want to do because I’m a lazy American, therefore it is fun to watch. v Anime is rotting the brains of young Americans, but can be a fun and sometimes educational way to waste your time. v But some critics claim that some anime series/movies live are better than many live action movies here in America. v
Several Anime that I would suggest are… v Vampire Hunter D II: Bloodlust v Princess Mononoke v The Trigun series v Mobile Suit Gundam v Gundam Wing
