What is a Weekly World Watch? The idea is simple. It is to look at current events and compare them to events spoken of in the Bible. . I hope to build up a picture of God’s hand working in the affairs of this world. God is bringing about a day when all nations will be gathered to Jerusalem to battle. At that time God will send His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, back to this earth. Jesus will then establish God’s kingdom on earth. This kingdom will last for ever. This is our hope and the reason we watch. The following six themes will appear repeatedly in WWW: • Israel: The continuing conflict in the Middle East and focus on Jerusalem. • Europe: Its developing union, both political and religious. • Russia: Its return to anti-Western ways as Bible prophecy’s “king of the north. ” • The UK and the US: Bible prophecy’s “king of the south. ” • Moral standards in decline and violence on the increase. • Increasing natural disasters: including earthquake, famine etc WWW presentations in Power. What is in a Weekly World Watch? Each WWW looks at a few key developments that have happened during the past week. It is in no way meant to be exhaustive – just a look at those events I saw as significant from a Biblical point of view. Every WWW event slide has the following format. EU joins UK denouncing Russia over poisoning of spy New York Times, March 23, 2018 EVENT Britain’s prime minister, Theresa May, won greater than expected support from the European Union on Friday over her escalating diplomatic battle with Russia, a significant victory for a leader who has often found herself isolated in Brussels as her country prepares to quit the bloc. After hours of discussion, European leaders issued a relatively tough statement effectively blaming Moscow for the nerve agent attack on a former Russian spy, Sergei V. Skripal, and his daughter, Yulia, on British soil. The European Union announced the withdrawal of its ambassador to Moscow for consultations, while President Emmanuel Macron said that France and other countries, including Germany, would also take measures, prompting speculation that they would expel some Russian diplomats, as Britain did in response to the attack. Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Denmark are among nations expected to take action as soon as Monday. COMMENT On Friday, Russia accused Britain of trying to force its allies in the EU to take "confrontational steps" after member states decided to recall the bloc's envoy from Moscow. They are also mulling further diplomatic action over the nerve attack row. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov hit out at Britain suggesting that London's focus was now on making "the crisis with Russia as deep as possible". We have here in Biblical terms the king of the south (Britain / Tarshish) goading / provoking / pushing the king of the north (Russia). Russia is clearly blaming Britain for whipping up anti Putin and anti Russian sentiment. This is exactly what we would expect to see with Bible in hand. All this is leading to Armageddon. BIBLE QUOTE And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an (Revelation 16: 16 -18) earthquake, and so great.

Russia blasts Boris Johnson's Putin-Hitler comparison Fox News, March 23, 2018 EVENT Moscow’s ambassador to the U. K. slammed the British Foreign Secretary’s comparison of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Adolph Hitler as “disgusting” in an escalating war of words between the two countries. On Wednesday, British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson said it was “emetic, ” vomit-inducing, that Putin is rejoicing over hosting the World Cup soccer tournament this summer. Johnson also said Russia's hosting of the June 14 -July 15 World Cup tournament could be compared to the 1936 Olympics, which was used as propaganda exercise by Nazi Germany. In the run-up to the 1936 Games, there was a rigorous debate over whether to boycott the event. Alexander Yakovenko, the ambassador, said “nobody has the right to insult the Russian people, who defeated Nazism. ” Russia’s foreign ministry said Johnson was “poisoned with venom of malice and hate, ” reports the Boston Globe. Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the comparison an “utterly disgusting statement which is unworthy of a foreign minister of any country” at a press conference. COMMENT The war of words between Britain and Russia has escalated further. Boris Johnson the UK Foreign Secretary warned this week that failure to take action against Vladimir Putin would be like the appeasement of Adolf Hitler before Europe was plunged into the Second World War. His comments drew a furious response from the Kremlin, which accused the Foreign Secretary of being “poisoned with venom of hate, unprofessionalism and boorishness”. This language is unusual – it is so far removed from normal diplomatic speak. This war of words could well lead to a reaction from Russia. The provocation will be answered one day when Russia invades Israel… BIBLE QUOTE But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odour will rise, Because he has done monstrous things. Russia names Putin's new 'super weapons' after vote Reuters, March 23, 2018 EVENT Russia has unveiled the names for a new generation of nuclear-powered missiles touted by President Vladimir Putin as invincible after more than seven million people took part in a quirky public vote organized by the Russian military. The names chosen include ‘Peresvet, ’ after a medieval warrior monk, for a laser and ‘Burevestnik, ’ after a seabird, for a cruise missile. The arms systems, which Putin revealed in a bellicose state-of-the-nation speech this month, include a nuclear-powered cruise missile, an underwater nuclear-powered drone, and a laser weapon. Putin has often used militaristic rhetoric to mobilize support and buttress his narrative that Russia is under siege from the West, and some critics complain that public discourse increasingly resembles that of a country at war. The culmination of the “name that weapon” vote comes amid fears in both Russia and the West about a new arms race. COMMENT Putin worships the power of military might. This is exactly what the Bible says. In Daniel 11: 38 we read that Gog will “honour the god of forces”. Modern versions say ”he will honour the god of fortresses”. In other words the god of strength, power and might. Putin has completely overhauled the Russian army and military. They are now a force to be reckoned with – even without nuclear weapons. But it isn't just Daniel 11: 36 -39 that speak of Gog. We also read about him in Daniel 8: 23 -25. The same person – a latter day Antiochus Epiphanes. We are told in v 24 that Gog will become “strong”. That he will “cause a shocking amount of destruction”. Also “He will be a master of deception and will become arrogant; he will destroy many without warning. ” All this is talking about Gog / Putin. It is so accurate! BIBLE QUOTE He will cause a shocking amount of destruction and succeed in everything he does. He will destroy powerful leaders and devastate the holy people. Israeli military confirms it hit Syrian nuclear site 2007 in CBS, March 21, 2018 EVENT The Israeli military confirmed Wednesday it carried out the 2007 airstrike in Syria that destroyed what was believed to be a nuclear reactor, lifting the veil of secrecy over one of its most daring and mysterious operations in recent memory. Although Israel was widely believed to have been behind the Sept. 6, 2007, airstrike, it has never before commented publicly on it. In a lengthy release, the military revealed that eight F-15 fighter jets carried out the top-secret airstrikes against the facility in the Deir el-Zour region, about 300 miles northeast of Damascus, destroying a site that had been in development for years and was scheduled to go into operation at the end of that year. Israel's involvement has been one of its most closely held secrets, and it was not immediately clear why Israel decided to go public now. The military would not comment on its reasoning, but the move could be meant as a warning to archenemy Iran, which is active in Syria. COMMENT "The motivation of our enemies has grown in recent years, but so too the might of the IDF (Israel Defence Forces), " Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Wednesday. "Everyone in the Middle East would do well to internalize this equation. ” For Israel to admit this strike now is surely significant. There was no real reason to do this other than to warn Israel’s enemies (Iran, Syria, Hezbollah) against developing bases in Syria. This statement therefore actually increases the pressure. It means we are closer to confrontation. Israel doesn’t release this type of information lightly. We know with Bible in hand that there is greater (even cataclysmic) destruction coming on Damascus. Israel may well be the nation that brings this about… BIBLE QUOTE Look, the city of Damascus will disappear! It will become a heap of ruins. The towns of Aroer [town in Jordan] will be deserted. Flocks will graze in the streets and lie down undisturbed, with no one to chase them away. The fortified towns of northern Israel will also be destroyed, and the royal power of Damascus will end. US shifts Qatar base to Saudi Arabia Gulf Digital News, March 21, 2018 EVENT The US has started shifting its air base in Qatar to Saudi Arabia, it was revealed yesterday. This follows a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, currently visiting the US, and President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, a prominent Israeli intelligence website has reported. “This is an earthshaking event for the Middle East, which far transcends US-Saudi relations, ” says DEBKAfile quoting military sources. The sources also disclose that, despite repeated denials, the Trump administration is in the process of another momentous move, packing up its air force and quitting Incirlik in southern Turkey, the biggest air base in the region. “ The two moves are interconnected. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has become an avid supporter of the Amir of Qatar, (Shaikh) Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who is locked in a feud with the Saudi rulers, ” the report said. “ Turkey recently established a large military base in the emirate. COMMENT At the moment this is only being reported in limited places. However this is one to watch. According to these reports America is in the process of shifting its air bases. The two air bases it is moving are significant. The US apparently is moving its air base in Qatar (a rogue gulf state) to Saudi Arabia. This fits with Bible prophecy. Sheba and Dedan cover predominately the area of modern Saudi Arabia. We are told that Sheba and Dedan are allied with Tarshish (UK) and the young lions (US /Canada etc). Therefore the US moving its base to Saudi lines up. The US base in Turkey is also moving. Turkey is part of the group of nations allied to Russia. We would not expect the US to have bases in Turkey therefore. Again things are lining up as prophesied. ‘If you want peace, prepare for war’: John Bolton Trump’s new national security adviser Daily Telegraph, March 23, 2018 EVENT Donald Trump’s new national security adviser has said America should “prepare for war” to secure peace amid signs a more hardline US foreign policy is emerging. John Bolton, the former US ambassador to the United Nations, made the comment just hours after being appointed to the role via a tweet from Mr Trump. "The surest way to avoid conflict is to have a strong military capability, ” Mr Bolton told Sky News. “As the ancient Romans used to say: Si vis pacem, para bellum - if you want peace, prepare for war. ” The 69 -year -old, who served in the UN under George W Bush, is known for his hawkish foreign policy views and no-nonsense approach to diplomacy. He has said a pre-emptive strike against North Korea would be legitimate and played down the chance of talks being successful. Mr Bolton is also a fierce opponent of the Iran nuclear deal and has suggested “regime change” should be America's goal. COMMENT President Trump named John Bolton, a hard-line former American ambassador to the United Nations, as his third national security adviser on Thursday, continuing a shakeup that creates one of the most hawkish national security teams of any White House in recent history. Last week the president replaced Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson with the C. I. A. director, Mike Pompeo, a former Army officer who has spoken about regime change in Pyongyang and about ripping up the Iran nuclear deal. With decisions soon to be made on the Iran deal and a possible meeting between the US and North Korea, Trump is surrounding himself with hawkish advisers. We know that a time of trouble such as never was is coming. The world is preparing for conflict.
