And all that respectable people should be thinking
And all that respectable people should be thinking about is having a strong, healthy family, and making sure that every day they do their job 100%. And of course never to question the government. Nothing about a man on some snowy evening.
Finally feeling the impact on what limiting the world to only 50 would mean, Charlie’s great Grandmother was heartbroken. So she memorized the poem. Since her mind was one place the government couldn't control.
After that she took it upon herself to save as many works of art as she could from being destroyed.
She really did have a mind wired for creativity. She remembered hundreds of poems, stories, and movies until her dying day. But when that day came she knew something had to be done.
She called in her family, her husband, Charlie’s Dad, and Charlie’s aunt. She told them the stories that she had stored in her mind for so many years. From that day on the Callahans were the keepers of the stories and the forbidden art.
In a musty attic, in the middle of a line of houses filled with people just sitting down to dinner, there is a group of people finally opening Callahan’s their were minds. using The treasures they had to spread around the community in secret.
They spent every night having their friends and neighbors over for readings. People were always amazed at every new poem that someone could write such beautiful words.
At first they couldn't wrap their heads around the fact that one person that had lived hundreds of years before them had written a little story that, even now, stimulated their mind so much. Everybody loved it.
In their lives they had never had to do anything that really made them think since all the thinking was already done for them. They were also practicing how to write for themselves. Because of the Callahans, not all creativity was gone from the world.

But after every meeting the poems were shut away in the minds of these people to hide from the society the government had created until the next meeting.
Charlie had never been a normal kid. He was forced to keep his secrets in his mind. On many occasions he was ready to burst out with lines from poems that were meant to be destroyed years ago. But he couldn't; he knew how serious the consequences would be if he did.
