∞ And 0 Are Just Symbols
∞ isn’t a number; however… It is true that plain old ∞ isn’t a number, but infinity’s value is. If you take 1 away from infinity you get a different value. You are probably thinking, “WHAT! If you take one from infinity it is still infinite, so it is still infinity!” Although it is still infinite and can still be represented by ∞, it is a different value infinity. Take this example…
The infinite people problem Lets say that (mathematically) there are ∞ people in a line (like there are infinity points on a line). Every person is different, with a different personality, and face, and no two people are the same and they were all part of the same family. If one of those people were shot and killed, that person would be gone. There would be one less person in the family. There wouldn’t be another “Uncle Bob”.
So… As you could see, that one less family member would make a difference, even though there were an infinite number of people in the family.
Also… In the different value zeros power point, it shows the same thing as infinity. The infinitesimal difference counts.
Here is where they connect… So how do the symbols of ∞ and 0 connect? Well, they are reciprocals (except for true zero)! Which explains 1/0. (just the zero has to be the infinitesimal zero which is still zero)
