Mesopotamia • The Sumerians were the first people to develop a civilization in Mesopotamia.

Mesopotamia • The Sumerians were the first people to develop a civilization in Mesopotamia. – They came from a town called Sumer. • Sumer was one of the major cities in Mesopotamia. • Babylon was another major city that we will discuss later.
