ADDIE Model Contents Analysis Design Development Evaluation Implementation ADDIE is an instructional design process that consist of 5 stages to building a comprehensive training lesson. Each step prepares the trainer for the next stage. The model may be used in different variations; however, completing all the stages should build a solid lesson plan. 2

Analysis Contents Analysis In the analyzing phase, the trainer gathers the dynamics of the lesson to be produced or upgraded. Below are some of the topics that are reviewed in the preassessment process. Design of course Audience Goal 3

Design Contents Design In designing the material for your lesson it’s time to put your analysis to work. The preparation that was done in that stage sets up the ability to create an outline. Formatting the information gathered helps define the how, what, and when needed to design the lesson. Below is a list of focus topics. Name the learning units of Instruction Identify content 5

Development Contents Development We have pre-planned our lesson in the analysis stage. We have outlined our lesson intent and draft plan in the design stage. Now we are developing the training material in a structured lesson plan. ”The development phase is where the developers create and assemble the content assets that were created in the design phase. Programmers work to develop and/or integrate technologies. Testers perform debugging procedures. The project is reviewed and revised according to any feedback given” (Instructional Design). 7

Implementation Contents Implementation Are you ready for your audience? All the ground work has come to this point, implementing your lesson plan. The plan has been examined, modified, and cleared by all necessary levels of management. IT has configured any software or hardware that will be utilized by the learners. The plan has been printed and ready to present to your audience. 9

Evaluation Contents Evaluation The course has been put into practice and now you need to know if your lesson was executed effectively for retention and future implementation by your class or if it feel on deaf ears. Feedback is essential in developing a successful and cultivating learning plan. You may ask yourself the following questions. Did the students achieve expected learning outcomes? What have you learned? How can you make the course better? (What is Instructional Design? ) 11

ADDIE Model Contents Analysis Design Evaluation Development Implementation Following the 5 stages of the ADDIE will render a inclusive plan that is intended for the preparer to produce a coherent session as well as to fulfill the needs of teaching the learner. Evaluate the lesson to ensure an up to date and consistently evolving product. “Evaluating should be ongoing throughout all phases of the ADDIE” (Ferriman, 2013). 12
