AMP, realizing its duty towards Community Welfare, the potential of a properly organized Zakat disbursement, and also how Zakat can be effectively utilized to bring out the Community from the throes of misery, had established the AMP Zakat Fund in 2013 to empower the lives of the poor and needy by promoting - Education & Self-Employment. 4

Education We feel that we need to focus on Higher Education so that talented and able individuals from the community can gain the skills and qualifications required to grab contemporary opportunities and walk at pace with the fastevolving world. 5

Self-Employment There are certain individuals who cannot pursue their academic aspirations because they have to financially support their families from a very young age. For such individuals, we need to offer a window of opportunity by helping them financially for Self Employment to better their means of livelihood and encourage them to establish micro-enterprises. 6

Vision & Mission of the ‘AMP Zakat Fund’ The Zakat Fund is utilized for the following campaigns. 1 Support Higher Education Empower Lives 3 Make an IITian Make India 2 Support A Small Business Make A Happy Family. 4 Support an Orphan Shape A Life This endeavor can surely achieve the desired success, but only through your donations, & the collective efforts & well-coordinated team work of all our 14 valuable AMP Members, Associates and Well Wishers spread across the globe.

Support Higher Education Empower Lives AMP has decided to give an yearly financial support of ₹ 10, 000 - ₹ 50, 000 to students pursuing Higher Education in the field of Engineering, Medicine, Architecture, etc. By this endeavor AMP hopes that the worries of the students getting assistance will be reduced to some extent and they can focus better on their education and try to build a 15 good base for themselves.

Support A Small Business Make A Happy Family A support of ₹ 25, 000 is given to needy Muslims/Muslim families to start a source of income. Through this endeavor, AMP firmly hopes that the Zakat Taker of today becomes the Zakat Giver of tomorrow. 16

Make an IITian Make India AMP has decided to provide Monetary Support to all needy students who have secured admission in IIT and need assistance till they graduate. These are the gems of the society and AMP hopes that through this endeavor it will help these gems shine brighter and they can always come back to help more needy people. 17

Support an Orphan Shape A Life AMP has decided to support the educational expenses of needy orphan children so that the child is not deprived of even the basic education for want of a guardian. Through this endeavor AMP hopes that the orphans in the community do not feel left behind or isolated. This is to make them feel that the community is right with them to support them. 18

Highlights of the ‘AMP Zakat Fund’ 1 There will be No Administration Costs involved therein, thus you can be assured that your entire donation will be utilized solely for charity. 2 A special focus will be given on students and beneficiaries from Rural Areas and Minority concentrated districts. 3 In event of a donation of more than INR 25000, we can arrange to connect the “Donor” to his “Beneficiary” if he wishes to do so. We hope that you will wholeheartedly support us in this blessed cause - where the rewards for a single good deed are multiplied several-fold. Allah (SWT) has given us many opportunities to earn rewards during Ramdhan by doing virtuous and benevolent deeds; and the best way to do this is to help the needy and the less fortunate by means of Zakat and Sadaqah. 19

Therefore, we humbly request you to participate in this noble cause and contribute generously to the ‘Zakat Fund’ We assure you that we have very strict procedures to ensure that the money is utilized very judiciously and that it is distributed strictly as per the mandates of the Shariah. 20
