Nuclear Installation Safety Division (NISD) Membership Trend: Observations • Downtrend has been steady with stagnant industry growth • Divisional membership decrease over 5 years is about twice that of the Society as a whole • Trend similar to Operations & Power Ø (NISD experiencing slightly lower % decreases) • Aging membership (Retirements) • Changing career roles and diversification within ANS Ø Ø Accelerator Applications Decomm, Decon, & Reutilization • When Nuclear Operations merged with Power Division, NISD membership continued constant decline
