Alliteration n n Repetition of initial consonant sound. A consonant is not a vowel. Example Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
Consonance n n Repetition of a consonant sound that is not at the beginning of the word. A consonant is not a vowel. Example All mammals named Sam are clammy.
