Course Unit Information • You can read course outlines for all the compulsory and optional accounting and finance course units on course unit information via My Manchester. Course information is currently being updated for 2020/1 and will be fully updated by the beginning of August. • Please remember that it is your responsibility to ensure that your choice of course units adheres to the requirements for your pathway. Your course unit choices must fulfil the requirements of the pathway at both second and final year. If your course unit choices do not meet the requirements at both levels, then you will be unable to graduate with that pathway. 13
Signing Up for Course Units § In June, the draft Accounting and Finance timetables for 2019/20 will be available on the AMBS undergraduate intranet. Please be aware that some course units that run all year may have different timetabling slots in each semester so you will need to ensure that both seminar timetabling slots fit your timetable. § Once you have the accounting and finance lecture timetables you can start to make an informed choice about what course units you can choose next year. § Please be sure to look at all the course units available to your pathway and consult them again before you make your selection. The majority of course unit details have been confirmed but please bear in mind there may be some minor changes at a later date. 14
Signing Up for Course Units • You are NOT being asked to make course unit choices at this stage. You will sign up for your course units on the student system after the examination results are released in the summer. This will enable you to make course unit choices based on your areas of strength and interest and will also ensure that you have passed prerequisite course units, if applicable. • The student system will open for course unit selection from 25 August 2020. Shau Chan the BA (Econ) programme administrator will email you to advise you when you can start to sign up for your final year course units on the student system. We recommend that you complete your course sign up as early as possible to avoid disappointment. • Please note if you have compulsory resits in August you will not be able to sign up for any course units where you have not met the pre-requisites until your resit results have been confirmed. However, this does not stop you from signing up for the rest of 15 your course units.
