All About the Mustache This presentation was created in the spirit of “Mo-vember. ” During the month of November, men grow mustaches and collect donations to contribute towards men’s health charities. - Mustaches + November = Mo-vember Movember has been growing in popularity over the past several years. The following slides tip our hats to some interesting mustache styles and persons famous for their mustaches. Now let’s have some fun!

Mustache Facts • Women are often attracted to men with mustaches. • In 1967, The Beatles gave away cardboard mustaches with their album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
“Mo” Mustache Fun “Facts” A “Mo” will make you richer! In a deck of cards the king of hearts is the only king without a mustache. There are between 10, 000 and 20, 000 hairs on a man’s face.
“Mo” Mustache Facts Groucho Marx for many years wore a fake moustache of greasepaint on stage and film, then grew a real one later in life. On average a man touches his mustache 760 times in a 24 hour period.
“Mo” Mustache Facts By 1914 and the advent of WWI, the military mustache was well-established. Generally, the shape of the ‘stache suggested rank: As a man advanced in rank, so did his mustache, which became thicker and bushier until he ultimately was permitted to wear an ever fuller beard.
“Mo” Mustache Facts According to the Guinness Book of World Records, in July 1993, Kalyan Ramji Sain of Sundargarth, India, had a mustache that measured 133. 4 inches long. A U. S. Marine’s mustache cannot be longer than half an inch. Fireman are not allowed to have facial hair because it prevents breathing equipment from fitting properly.
Mustache Styles A thick and wide mustache, usually worn long to cover the top border of the upper lip.
Mustache Styles A narrow, divided mustache that begins at the middle of the upper lip with long whiskers pulled to either side of the centre. The areas beyond the corners of the mouth are typically shaved.
Mustache Styles A mustache that begins on the upper lip and whose whiskers are grown long enough to extend down each side of the mouth to the to jaw. The areas just past the corners of the mouth are shaven, thus differentiating this style from the “horseshoe. ”
Mustache Styles A handlebar mustache can be worn large or small (“petit handlebar”); it is bushy and must be worn long enough to curl the ends upward, which is usually achieved with styling wax.
Mustache Styles A thick mustache covering the width of the mouth, usually worn short, with slightly rounded corners.
Mustache Styles A thin, narrow and closely clipped mustache that outlines the upper lip. Pencil style mustaches can be trimmed in different manners (see above). Also sometimes called a “mouthbrow. ”
Mustache Styles A large, bushy and droopy mustache that hangs down over the lips, often entirely covering the mouth.
Mustache Styles A thick mustache, shaved to be about an inch wide in the center.
