D is working on Sonification* of ALICE data - end product can be used in exhibition The TPC treated as "Sonic Wire Chamber", where the electrons impact on strings of different frequency *Sonification is a new method of data display and is defined as the use of audio to convey information. ALICE plans for Masterclasses Proposed exercise (to be implemented by the Birmingham group) Measure strangeness production in reference sample and “interesting” event sample / compare Strangeness enhancement is one of the signatures for production of Quark-Gluon Plasma • Analyse sets of events containing strange particles including cascades (Ω- Ξ- ) and V 0 s Ω- -> Λ + K- ( Λ -> p + π- ) Ξ- -> Λ + π- ( Λ -> p + π- ) • Classify cascade according to topology + PID • Count number of strange particles and calculate ratios Tools : Standard ALICE Event Display (Ali.
