Alexander Hamilton’s Birth Alexander Hamilton was born in 1755, January 11 th. He was born on the island of Nevis in the British West Indies. Him and his mother Rachel Fawcett Lavine, had lived there because she was having an affair when she was married to John Michael Levine, but then her husband threw them out of the house and they then arranged to live with the father of Hamilton. He was a Scottish trader named James Hamilton.
