C Spain. Since joining the Firm in 1993, Alejandro has spent all his career in the financial services industry, both in Spain and in the US. He has led the audit in Spain for many important global financial institutions such as Barclays, Lloyds, Commerzbank, JP Morgan, Credit Agricole and American Express, as well as other local financial institutions like Banco Popular, Ibercaja, Unicaja and Bankinter. In addition he has a wide experience in special projects related to business reviews, valuations, merger and acquisitions of domestic and foreign financial institutions. Alejandro is a regular contact person for Bank of Spain for accounting and audit aspects in Spain. Specifically, he actively participated in the asset quality review process in relation with financial institutions in Spain performed in 2012 and 2014.
