Pre-set information • The First Referee will inform the official scorer which bench the home team has selected • The Scorer will write the team names on the scoresheet according to the side the team will be on during the set • After the coin toss the referee will inform the scorer of which team will have first serve
Team names are written on the scoresheet as the teams are positioned on the court. In this set Visitor is on the scorers left and Home is on the scorers right. Visitor will have first serve. Be sure the correct player number is serving Ø Check the player # every time a server goes back to serve Ø If not the correct player number serving notify the referee immediately there is a wrong server Ø Remember – they are not the wrong server until they contact the ball for serve

What Goes in the Comments Section? Ø Warning Yellow Card = PW#12 Team name(7 -6) When writing the score it is the score at the time the card is given – the score of the team receiving the card is place first, then the other teams score No Penalty point assessed with a yellow card Ø Penalty Red Card = Pl#3 Team name(7 -3) Loss of rally/point awarded to opponent Ø Disqualification =Yellow &Red Card = DQ#4 Team name(4 -14) Loss of rally/point awarded to opponent Ø Uniform/Equipment Violations = E#5 Team name (3 -0) means a player attempted/or discovered with illegal equipment in the game Team charged a time out Ø Concussion Management = “concussion management player #10 is removed from the set (12 -13)” Ø Exceptional Substitution or Redesignation of libero = Ø ES #8/#3 Team Name (22 -23)

Ø What if a team does not have a Libero? No tracking will take place for that team Ø Note- A different libero can be designated for each set, but the designation must be made on the lineup sheet when it is submitted to the official scorer before the set. Ø During a time out the Libero Tracker is to inform the R 2 if the libero is ‘on’ of ‘off’ the court for each team when the time-out was requested.
